A Vulpines Unreachable Grasp

Look at my neck, tell me what do you see?
A blue leather collar, a sign of ownership, yet I am free
My body, my soul, my thoughts, all mine
I can live, I can move, I can be to me all just fine

My body and mind belong to me, while my heart to another
My heart, my Love, my emotions belong to my Lover
In this game of Love and hearts, I am a pet
Love under ownership, heart under control, but never shall I fret

I have a collar, yet I am free, never shall I change views
My heart belongs to my fennec, because that I choose
I am hers and hers alone
Through her my Love, has truly shone

Her leash I am happy to bear
Attached to this collar I proudly wear
However another leash has come to take away slack
This leash is only here to hold me back

Our hearts connect, our tails intertwine, but distance is there
Too far to touch, not close enough to give true care
Hundreds of miles come between
Me and my fennec, my Mate, my queen

This hindurance is here, it is painful and real
It obstructs my goal, to provide Love only I can make her feel
Only able to connect through wires, technology, and docks
But no matter the obstacle, she will always be my beautiful fennec
And I will always be her handsome red fox
